Group Project
My group and i decided to do on landscape of buildings. We are required to use what we have learnt like lines, dots, value, colours, Texture for 2d module.
This picture are found while i was browsing for my research a few weeks ago, I personally like all these pictures as they are very eye catching for example the colours and shape being used. I would like to travel to different places to visit the beautiful buildings and scenery from all over the world. Places like sydney, dubai, new york, roman, venice, LA, London, Paris. The most interesting country i went to are taiwan, korea and vietnam as i get to see different ways of living and there buildings. Taiwan has more of the greens and in the town area, its a busting city during the night. Korea is the same too but there buildings there are more to the high class feel in the city area which has big and tall buildings and also alot of famous and long bridges. Whereas in vietnam there buildings are more run downed and shorter in height. They normally have shop house and there tallest buildings is only not more than 30 storeys high.\ I love travelling as i can get to see other countries unique buildings and specialty of there country. The colourful and unique buildings and scenary fascinates me and brightens my mood. Don't you feel the same too? :)
Lines
I have learnt a lot through my basics and more about lines.
I have learnt that by using simple lines, it can be created into many pictures and shapes.
Most of the basic shapes are made up of lines and dots.
Lines can be founded every where if you observe closely not only on animals but also on humans, buildings and things around us.
I realised that lines plays a very big and important role in arts. From a simple line it can be created into a beautiful picture or drawing.
Many lines that make up the beautiful buildings or picture cannot be seen unless observed closely, it also depends on the way we look at things. Every body has there way and perspective of view and taste.
I also did quite alot of drawings that made of lines and is very happy to explore with lines and paint and drew them into beautiful paintings and artworks.
Interesting Chairs
Have you ever though that actually our normal daily life common used equipments can be made into something useful too?
This picture prove of of it, Chair that is made up of pencils.

The Octopus Chair
The artist wanted to be faithful to the
animal’s physique and the natural majesty of its movements, therefore
Maximo attended to each physical detail of the octopus in order to make
the animal the unique protagonist of the whole piece. (Designer: Maximo Riera)
I found this picture in a blog which has interesting creative ideas of chairs that are made out of different yet interesting materials. Like the picture above the chair is made up of fishes that are been vacuum packed to prevent it to rot.
Designer has taken soft perishable sardines and found a way to use them as the building material in his most recent project. The individual components have been created through a process of lost wax casting, creating solid aluminum fish from their edible counterparts. (Designer: Tristan Cochrane)

This week i am going to post about my favourite movie, and character! ;)
TOTORO ;)
I first watched it when i was in K1, my aunt's best friend brought this gift for me as my birthday present. I fell deep in love in this flurry and cute creature and his unqiue way of communication and the way it speaks. I watched it in the Cantonese version as back than english version nor subtitle was not yet available. There were only cantonese and Japanese version. Although i could not really understand much as i did not really understand cantonese well, i visually watched and digested the story. I watched it almost daily after my lessons and slowly understand the story. Later on, it became a hit in and even our class form teacher played the movie during free periods. There were VCDs and DVDs out in store, whereas in the past when i first got it, it was only found in japan itself.
The story is actually about this totoro and the main cast, the youngest daughter in the family who found totoro. She always visited him and talk to him and played with him. Totoro also helped the family, for example sending the kids to visit the mum, as their mum was admitted to the hospital far away from there house in the city. He also accompanied them to wait for their dad at the bus stop. He also brought her and her elder sister to adventure and did many interesting things.
My Neighbor Totoro (となりのトトロ Tonari no Totoro) is a 1988 Japanese animated fantasy film written and directed by Hayao Miyazaki and produced by Studio Ghibli. MINIONS (The Hot Topic Now)
These yellow creatures, some with 1 eye some with 2, wearing blue suits are called the MINIONS. Its strange looking and special sound it makes and the language they speak attract alot of people's attention and caught the love of people.
It first start of as An American 3D computer-animated comedy film and than into a movie during 2010 :"Despicable Me". It hit a quite high rating in the box office and now they even have the 2nd movie "Despicable Me 2". Not only that, everyone is going crazy over these little yellow creatures. Purchasing there t-shirt, accessories, plushies. Now also queuing in Macdonald's and purchasing many happy meals just to collecct the toy minions.
Noby knew it would be such a hit in cinemas, nor it will become such a popular item. It just started off in a 3D film. Starting everybody find and name them as weirdos yellow creature. Especially parents but now, they even queue in macdonalds just to purchase these toys to collect them. Thus, any invention may be a hit you never know it may just start with something small or to others it may be ugly or weird. It is the way you see it.
I myself too love the minions i find it very cute and unique ;)
Interesting Routes
Posting about the interesting routes, that can only be seen at certain angles for example top view.
Sometimes we got to see things from different angle to actually see the beauty to it.
For example this picture can only be seen from the top view but not when you are driving on the routes itself normally.
My Dream house! ;)
I love to go online to look for beautiful pictures like this and daydream of my future home.
Im someone who loves to look at pretty decorated house and furniture.
I would like to decorate my house next time with beautiful furniture and also comfy furniture and paintings and also a corner where i can laze around and daydream and read my books or browse beautiful pictures online. I always dreamt and hope that one day i would earn big bucks to buy myself a house that consist of 2 storey but normally singapore's terrace house is very small and there is limited to decorate it with. I would like to build my house that is spacious like the picture which i normally see it in korea dramas. Or maybe i can buy land in singapore and get my own house build which is spacious and beautiful in singapore ;)

Can you actually visualise that actually it is a camera?
Only that it is made up of metal can from the new in famous green tea drink from japan?
Did you actually thought that basic materials like metal cans that you drink can be made into such a magnificent art pieces and not only that can be made into something that is useful?
I love the design one it as it is very simple and the colour and pattern is also gives you a very soothing feel of the natural with the cherry blossom of japan.
I hope they will bring this design into the market, it will definitely sell like hotcakes.
Fall seven times, Stand up eight..
When i saw this quote while browsing for photos, It gave me strength and motivation to carry on not only in my assignments but also made me reflect on my life. I have a Class Advisor that we used to detest when he first came into our class, he uses sarcastic remarks on our works and on us. However as time goes by, we understand his way of communicating to us. He is trying to provoke us to do better in our work to prove him wrong. The teacher eventually also became an important part of us like our daddy, he is our papa J. He taught us alot and never ever gave up on us, he also attend to our personal problems like our father in school. He plays and fool around with us but is strict and serious during lessons.
He once told me: Fall seven times, Stand up eight. Everytime you fall, pick urself up and do it better not only to prove others wrong but also to yourself that you actually can do it.
Because NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE and NEVER GIVE UP ;)
Just Like NIKE my favourite Brand, JUST DO IT!
