This week i am going to post about my favourite movie, and character! ;)
TOTORO ;)
I first watched it when i was in K1, my aunt's best friend brought this gift for me as my birthday present. I fell deep in love in this flurry and cute creature and his unqiue way of communication and the way it speaks. I watched it in the Cantonese version as back than english version nor subtitle was not yet available. There were only cantonese and Japanese version. Although i could not really understand much as i did not really understand cantonese well, i visually watched and digested the story. I watched it almost daily after my lessons and slowly understand the story. Later on, it became a hit in and even our class form teacher played the movie during free periods. There were VCDs and DVDs out in store, whereas in the past when i first got it, it was only found in japan itself.
The story is actually about this totoro and the main cast, the youngest daughter in the family who found totoro. She always visited him and talk to him and played with him. Totoro also helped the family, for example sending the kids to visit the mum, as their mum was admitted to the hospital far away from there house in the city. He also accompanied them to wait for their dad at the bus stop. He also brought her and her elder sister to adventure and did many interesting things.
